Vampires & The Confederacy
Ali Lovell, BA in English and Italian and MA in English Literature, presented on the interconnection between vampires and the Civil War in literature and popular media. She wrote her Master's thesis on the topic, leading to fascinating discussion and innovative thought! Unfortunately, we forgot to hit "record" on this presentation, and as such it was a members only presentation.

Cooking Jollof Rice
Chef Tee Adu-Attobrah leads the Salon in a cooking class for the eighth Shine on Salon. During the Salon, we followed Chef Tee's instructions to create Jollof Rice, a traditional dish from Ghana, while learning about the impacts of the African Diaspora on southern cooking.
